For the past two weeks or so, I have had a really itchy bum! It%26#039;s not itchy all the time... Just sometimes. But it is driving me nuts. It even woke me up today!
Toliet paper makes it more itchy and I am currently on my period, so I have sanitary items in my underwear now which has made it worse then ever!
I changed the toilet paper I was using because that was a different type to what I usually use and it helped for a while but the itching is getting to be unbearable!
Could I have worms? It does normally happen at night, but not every night and I am a REALLY clean person - I have OCD so I wash my hands way too much... :(
This is killing me.
Any advice (nice... Not sarcastic) would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

you don%26#039;t have worms. i can%26#039;t be sure but i would bet money on it. if your symptoms occur when you%26#039;re on your period I would guess that you have one of two problems...
1. a LOT of women experience some kind of irritation from sanitary pads. the makers of these pads use some really terrible chemicals when they make them that irritate the hell out of your body. you might just be having a reaction to this. go to a health store and buy your pads there...and NEVER use scented pads...EVER.
or
2. pads can create a very warm, moist environment for that part of your body which can promote the growth of yeast. yeast infections don%26#039;t just occur inside your body...they can cause any part of your body to itch and burn.
even if it%26#039;s not yeast or your period, sometimes the skin down there just gets dry/itchy/irritated. stay away from chemicals, lotions with perfume, and a too-moist environment. it%26#039;ll go away.
