ive been suffering from Trichotillomania (which is compulsive hair pulling, for those of you who dont know), for about seven years. it keeps getting worse and worse and ive finally made that decision that i NEED to stop, and my mom is being VERY helpful about it.
i dont want to go to a clinic or anything, because im sure i have enough self control to handle it on my own, but my question is that i really want my hair to grow back, because i used to have the most beautiful thick dark hair, and now the top part is like all gone... :/
so what is the fastest way to help my hair?
are there any shampoos that anyone used that really helped them, conditioners, certain vitimens, ANYTHING?
thank you soo much in advance.

Hey there
I too suffer from trichotillomania. Im not sure that there are any magical shampoos or anything to help you, but i think they sell vitamins that claim to help hair growth. You could most likely find these at GNC. You could also get some B6 vitamins, and be sure to eat a healthy balanced diet and be sure to include protein and dark leafy vegetables that contain beta-carotene. In time, your hair will surely grow back, so just give it some time.
Finding a hobby that keeps your hands busy also helped me a lot in preventing me from pulling out my hairs. You could try something like jewelry making or knitting to keep your hands busy whenever you feel the urge to pull.
Good luck and take care!
