What was happening to me?

last week, some buddies of mine where talkin about the world ending and jokin around about it like 13 yos do. usually, i would have joked and thought the same way, but this time was different. i was really hit hard for some reason. i started ALWAYS thinking about it, and it scared me sooooo bad. i dont know why either. i told my mom because i just wanted someone to talk to, and i started crying. i hadnt cried for anything since my grandmother died in 06, and it was very weird. i was so paranoid and nervous about it, i made myself really natious and i went home from school. my mom let me stay home the next day because she thought it was just a hormornal change. she described it as a male menopause. i just layed there on the couch for 2 days, just trying to get my mind off the sun blowing up and black holes. it was terrible. i dont know what was wrong with me, but im fine now. what was happening to me?

When I was 16, I had a similar thing happen. We were coming down the mountain from skiing and my friends started talking about crashing....The we got stuck in traffic and I started freaking out....on the inside. When we got home, I couldnt stop thinking about dying. I told my mom and couldnt stop crying. She didnt know what to do for me so she took me to the dr who assured me I was okay. Now that I am an %26quot;old%26quot; lady, I realized that I was having an Anxiety attack, probably hormonal and I was probably really tired as well. It lasted 2 days or so, and I just tried to keep my mind busy by reading, watching tv, music etc and I got lots of sleep. I know it%26#039;s scary, but it will pass. DO NOT watch the news or read the paper, it only fuels the panic. I hope you are feeling like your old self again soon. Sounds like you have a good support system at home and a loving mom.Answer Over!
