RGP lenses ?

RGP lenses ?

i`ve had rgp lenses for about 2 months, i had eyedrops that numbed my eyes or something until like 5 days ago. when i put the contacts in without the eyedrops, it hurts really bad for like 10 minutes as soon as i put the contact in. it also takes me several tries to get it in because i keep blinking. when i had eye drops, it always only took me one try and i couldn`t feel the contact at all. but the doctor said i can`t use the eye drops anymore, since it`s only for beginners. anyone know why it hurts so badly when i put it in ? did i put it in wrong ? after that 10 minutes or so of pain, it feels perfectly normal, but why does it hurt so much when i first put it in ?

i`ve noticed that usually when i put the contacts in, i don`t put them exactly on the iris, i put them in a little lower. maybe that`s what caused them to hurt ? today i tried to put it closer to the iris and it helped a lot :D it was just a bit irritating but not painful. but it still takes me several tries to get the contact in.

Are you sure its moist enough when you first begin to put them in. When they start feeling plastic like it doesn%26#039;t feel as good to put them on.

Also it may be curved the wrong way which is some how possible. So if you see that you%26#039;re having a hard time getting it in because it won%26#039;t stay on your iris try to fold it the other direction.

Also you could be ripping or tearing them. So take a close look at the contact before you try to pop it in your eye. =]Answer Over!
