How much noise is too much?
There%26#039;s a lot of noise, where I live, a major school, with bells and children all day long, and two guys who tear around on motorbikes. I have tried using techniques to deal with it, distraction, headphones, replacing it with my own music, but hours later, the noises are still there, then I feel despairing, I feel I can%26#039;t cope, as though my threshold of coping has been exceeded. Then I feel bad about myself, because I know I am not dealing with this. Moving out, although, it has its pluses, seems a mountain, and I%26#039;m afraid I%26#039;ll face similar problems.

When I reach out to my mother for help, she retreats, teary. I feel bad because I%26#039;m upsetting her.

Is this a normal reaction, or am I sensitive, and need to use coping statements to feel better?
Innate sensitiveness(High sensitivity)..coined by Carl Jung, describes people who process sensory data much more deeply due to a biological difference in their nervous systems. In the past this has been confused with innate shyness(a question you asked before) inhibitidness, fearfulness and introversion(also, you mentioned being introverted before). It may be connected to high levels of Cortisol(a hormone produced by our adrenal glands, called the stress hormone).
Causing hypervigilance and hypersensitivity.
Sounds like you need to be somewhere with less noise. Make sure that when you do move that you are in a relatively peaceful area..no schools. Unfortunately in this world, you will have to put up with some noise...no matter where you go. Hope this helps!Answer Over!
