Well I have these things that I refer to as %26quot;compulsions%26quot; and I was wondering if it is OCD or if it is most likely just me. If you have any questions, just ask.
*always keeping things lined up on my desk
*turning lights on and off three times before I go to bed
*checking that the alarm is on three times before I go to bed
*counting my steps when I walk
*looking around the room in a certain way.(Like I have to go from a certain side and end at a certain side)
*walking in and out of a door three times
I told my school guidance counselor about it and she said that I needed to be evaluated, yet my parents still haven%26#039;t done anything about it.

it does sound like ocd. the thing is that if it interferes with your day to day living then yes, it is ocd. if it doesn%26#039;t, then it%26#039;s just your personality. but the number 3 thing does make it sound like ocd. it%26#039;s a good thing that you talked to your guidance counselor about this and you do need to be properly diagnosed so that way the therapist can help you make a plan with this. you need to bug your parents to take you because ocd doesn%26#039;t usually just go away on its own. in the meantime try to resist doing them. i know it%26#039;s hard, but you have to. purposely only do things two times, then after awhile one. hang in there and keep bugging your parents. it%26#039;s really important to get treatment for this. god bless.
