Why does this happen and how does my body know? And then on the weekends it doesn%26#039;t do this, only the weekdays!
My alarm is set for 7:15 AM, and I wake up every morning (including weekends) 5 - 10 minutes before the alarm goes off, but if I DON%26quot;T set the alarm, I will likely oversleep?!! I think it%26#039;s got to do with your sub-conscious self NOT wanting to be JARRED awake by an alarm. I believe it%26#039;s a self-defense mechanism. When your alarm sounds, (especially if it%26#039;s a LOUD buzzer or bell) it, quite franky scares the he__ out of you. After awhile, your %26#039;internal clock%26#039; programs itself to wake you BEFORE you get shocked out of your skin. I don%26#039;t know about you, but I like that.
