i couldnt find any good explanations as to why, but i did find this warning from the pyrography 101 website about safe and unsafe materials to burn. this is what they said about plexiglass: DO NOT burn on any type of plastic, acrylic, Plexiglass, Lucite, etc. They are also chemicals that will emit fumes that can cause serious harm. If you must do this, please do it outdoors! I don%26#039;t care what they call it, it%26#039;s plastic, it%26#039;s chemicals and it%26#039;s TOXIC!!!!
