I overworked myself?
this morning i was working outside and i loaded and hauled about 50 wheelbarrow-fulls of grass clipping. now i really hurt, especially my elbows, shoulders, knees, hips, and back (plus everything else). is there anything i can do to help with the pain - i have tried a warm bath, tylenol, and just rest.

I would try some Advil or Motrin rather than Tylenol as they act more as an anti-inflammatory to reduce swelling and tenderness. Try soaking in Epsom Salts to draw out the pain (use water as warm as you can take it). If you have someone that can give you an overall gentle massage that can be helpful too. You just need a tender touch not a deep rough massage. Drink a lot of water as you are probably somewhat dehydrated from overworking yourself and the body needs a lot of water to avoid muscle cramps, etc. You may also want to eat a banana to give yourself a boost of potassium. Then rest in a comfortable position making sure to keep your back aligned properly. Laying on your side with a pillow between your knees really helps your back to relax. Use a second pillow to hug and keep yourself stable. Or you can lay flat on your back with a couple pillows under your knees to take the pressure off your back. Good luck and I hope this helps to make you feel better.

You have DOMs (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) which means you really did get a work out! It%26#039;s not a bad sign....just rest....the pain will go within 2-3 days!
