My tooth/mouth hurts, but I can%26#039;t take anything with alcohol. What can I take? I can%26#039;t have ambesol because of alcohol. (I can%26#039;t even have vanilla because of the alcohol content) I really can%26#039;t have alcohol. I have a dentist appointment on Wednesday afternoon but it hurts NOW. Can anyone help me with ideas?

Helpful Monkey... I can%26#039;t concentrate on reading labels. Doesn%26#039;t anyone KNOW any good ones that are sold in S Cen. Pennsylvania?

Try taking a clove (its a spice/herb) and you put that on the bad tooth and it helps out a lot, or trying putting some toothpaste on the tooth that sometime works also. Ice pack on side of your face will help bring any swelling down also. Also a Aspirin works too just let is dissolve on bad tooth. Hope it gets feeling better, there is nothing worse then a toothache.

Someone else mentioned the cloves so I%26#039;ll give it to you. Hope it helps.

  • Try not to eat anything too hot or cold. But thats probably a given by now :)

Try not to concentrate on it. Keep yourself busy. Don%26#039;t even let your mind rest in the bathroom. Take melatonin or any other sleep aids a couple hours before bedtime.

Keep taking the asprins, I%26#039;d suggest. Switching to another drug is probably not a good idea. You could try an icepack on the outside, but I%26#039;m not sure how much that works.
  • There are alcohol free products out there. Read the label
