Ear Infection or Busted Ear Drum? I have went to the doctor and he didn%26#039;t say what my problem was but gave me some pain medication and sent me home (It was Friday).
I have a serious painful (So painful I can%26#039;t sleep or eat) ear infection or my ear drum busted.
IT%26#039;s leaking fluid (Green and Blood) from the canal. My whole entire left side of my face is swollen. I can%26#039;t eat or chew I can only swallow mashed potatoes. Thats sometimes hard to eat.
Does anyone know what might be the cause of this and what I can do to eleviate the pain I am in. I know my other side is somewhat okay. Not painful. I can%26#039;t hear out of my left side I can%26#039;t hear nothing but a high pitched noise. Please help anything beside the painpills which aren%26#039;t working will help! Thanks

Your eardrum ruptured because of the infection. This is evident from the fact you have discharge from your ear and have excruciating pain.
The high-pitched sound you hear is called %26quot;tinnitus%26quot;, and is likely present because of the infection.
You need to get to a doctor TODAY. You need antibiotics before the infection gets even worse and spreads farther than it already has.
Call his office and tell them your symptoms. They should fit you in. If it%26#039;s after office hours, call his emergency exchange through his regular office number. Either see the doctor on call, or go to the emergency room, NOW!!! I worked in ENT for 20 years.

She was really right on the nose. I busted my ear drum and going to need some surgery on it. So now I am prepared for this. Thanks for the comments!
