Education:Do I have Pancreatitis?

Do I have Pancreatitis? I started having pain yesterday in my upper abdomen. The general location is directly under my chest to my belly button. The whole area becomes a nest of shooting, stabbing pains. The pain comes and goes in waves, and is now traveling through to my back. The pain gets so severe that i feel like passing out or vomiting. It seems the more active I am, the more I feel the pain. I felt like going to the E.R. yesterday; but I am trying to deal with the pain. I am literally writhing in pain? Any suggestions or ideas of what this could be? Please help?!?

btw-I don%26#039;t drink, I am nursing...and I have never had a gallstone (that I am aware of).

I have already had my appendix removed, and that is lower abdominal pain. thank you

i have had prancreatitis b4 and it feels like there is a board in your stomach you cant move, cant eat, you are vomitting 24/7 bile and pain meds like oxycodone didnt help me even after being told by my doctor to double my dose. I barely got relief with the morphine at the hospital. If you dont drink, havent had gallstones or any recent GI procedure I dont think it is prancreatitis. But you should still have it checked out although i dont know what they can give you or do if you are nursing. Good Luck Been there
