I had a spinal tap a few hours ago.when i stand up,or lay down my head hurts really bad,and my back also.help?
the doctors said i would be able to go to work today,that it would not even bother me.im in so much pain i cant stand it.what should i do?

I had i spinal tap before and they warned me about this it has something to do with the flow of the spinal fluid, it is a side effect that they shold have warned you about. But call the office and seek help

Hopefully your doctor that did this procedure will admit he/she made a mistake and let spinal fluid leak and you will need a blood patch and that should help you. My husband had to have three and they claimed that was impossible. It was ten years ago so hopefully they have improved their techniques for their mistakes.
It also happened to me 25 years ago but I remember the pain. Back then the doctor would keep you in the hospital for five days until it was over. Bless your heart, I feel your pain sweetie.
Remember that%26#039;s why it%26#039;s called a Practice of Medicine. They (the doctors) are only human and they can make mistakes.

If I were you, I would call your doctor right away. Let them know that you%26#039;re having a lot of problems. They may want you to come back in.

Go back to the facility where you had the LP. I can%26#039;t believe they did not keep you for observation.
