My mom broke her ankle, she has a hard time taking Advil. Is there any other pain relievers she can take? It really hurts her stomach even when she takes it with food. Is there any other anti-inflammatory pain relievers she can take that won%26#039;t hurt her stomach?

Best Answer

She can try any of these, along with milk or eating: Tylenol or Ibuprofen. READ LABELS!

A call to her doctor%26#039;s office should get her some free samples of pain relievers. Tell them about her present reaction; they%26#039;ll better select something to help her.

You can also try this acupressure point for pain relief:
1. Place one thumb upon the inside of one anklebone. Place a forefinger (same hand) on the outside of the same ankle bone.

2.Slide both thumb %26amp; forefinger BACK to her heelcord behind the anklebone.

3.[Now slowly apply pressure by %26#039;pinching%26#039; her heel cord. Ouch! (That%26#039;s the right spot.)

4. HOLD, pinching for 7 seconds, release pressure. Repeat 2-3 times if she can tolerate it.

  • Ask at your Health Food Store about a natural anti-inflammatory.
Metagenics makes Inflavonoid, a vegetarian product. She should ask her Chiropractor or doctor about it.
  • Pepto Bismol will probably work well while taking Advil.
  • I had he same problem with advil so instead I took ibprophen
I%26#039;d suggest that if any thing.
  • Excedrin works pretty good for pain.
  • try a all natural anti-inflammatory
  • try motrin or ibprophen
