Vicodin makes my body hurt?

Vicodin makes my body hurt? i just had a root canal yesterday. I took a vicodin and went to bed, at first it was okay but an hour later it felt like I had arthritis or something. It was horrible. My back hurt, my stomach hurt, it was worse than the tooth ache. Why is this happening? Is there any alternative to vicodin for my toothache?

did you take the vicodin on an empty or not full stomach? Bad idea...that makes your body feel horrible. It could also been the vicodin wearing off and you feeling pain from the root canal, which can in return make everything else hurt, if the problem persists and youre eating with the meds and you think thats it, call the dentist and have him give you something else, you could be allergic to it as well.(yes there are many alternatives to this medicine that work just as well)

Yeah, Advil and Aleve weren%26#039;t doing a thing. This I had the same reaction with Tyl3 when I was younger. My Endodontist called in a script for a non-narcotic called Lodine I%26#039;m waiting for its effects. Thanks, You%26#039;re the only one who bothered to actually answer my actual QUESTION! Yahoo answers! UGH!
