How to heal Little Leaguer%26#039;s shoulder? I%26#039;m 14, and I have an injured upper arm. its right below the shoulder and on the outside. How do I heal this? I simply assume it%26#039;s Little leaguer%26#039;s shoulder because I did it while pitching last year (April 22nd) during the first game of season. the amount of pain changes from time to time. But, if you know how to heal this, I would thank you dramatically. And if it doesn%26#039;t sound like Little leaguer%26#039;s Shoulder, then what could it be? Thanks. Matt.

Wow, I was going to suggest rest but since you mentioned that it started last year, I wouldn%26#039;t hesitate to go to the doctor.

Most often the growth plate gets a small fracture called a stress fracture. The growth plate is a separate piece of fibrous cartilage at the end of the bone. It stays
%26quot;soft%26quot; until the bone has grown as much as it%26#039;s going to. Then the growth or end plate hardens and connects with the rest of the bone and can no longer be seen on an X-ray.

Baseball pitchers around age 14 are affected the most. Pain with throwing is the main symptom. An X-ray shows an increase in the space between the bone and the growth plate at the end of the bone. Any damage to the growth plate can cause a delay in growing. Treatment is rest, physical therapy, and sometimes, surgery. 100% 1 Vote
