it feels like a shot pretty much. you shoulnd%26#039;t be in pain when you wake up because usually you%26#039;re al groggywhen you wake up from surgery (at least i%26#039;ve always been)you%26#039;ll be fine.

Well if they are putting th iv to put you to sleep not at all. One second they will tell you we are going to put the meds and the next your knocked out! You wake up and its all over!! I would prefer that than the mask. But why aren%26#039;t they just numbing your foot? And I%26#039;m sure it will hurt after the hospital but they will give you meds aswell. Good luck!!

iv doesn%26#039;t hurt. If you%26#039;re going to the hospital they might freeze it. My buddy had the same thing and he had a little problem walking for a few days after the procedure and yes,there was pain.
Nothing you can%26#039;t handle,ppl go through more serious stuff and pain.
