Why does my leg still hurt months after bruising?

Why does my leg still hurt months after bruising? I got hit in my shin area just below my knee a few months ago. It bruised after a day or so, and the bruise lasted for 2 weeks.

Should I still have pain in that area even though it has been a few months since the bruising?

When I press on the area I can feel a hard lump there which hurts when touched, what could that be?

That exact thing happened to me several months ago. I asked my doctor about and he said it was on my bone. It%26#039;ll eventually go away but it%26#039;ll be a while.
