I always tell my patients..its the best dream time you%26#039;ll ever have..Right before being put under..think of a magical place or trip...and simply enjoy the ride.Other than a prick when they start the IV..anesethecia is pretty easy.
When you wake up you%26#039;ll have pain meds and pretty much by the time you are fully awake...the most pain will be gone..Just soreness and discomfort.
Dont worry..Instead-enjoy a free high(smile)
Best of luck in your recovery,

I had to go under twice in a span of less then a week. The first time they forgot my chart so they couldn%26#039;t give me anything for a few seconds after they woke me up. Wasn%26#039;t too bad but anyway they gave me morphine afterwards and was fine. If anyone was likely to feel pain from surgery I would have(neurosurgery). Second time I don%26#039;t even remember them waking me up. Next thing I remembered was them taking me back to my room. I don%26#039;t think you are likely to remember them bringing you out, and don%26#039;t think you are supposed to.

When yuo go under anasthesia, I%26#039;d say it%26#039;s pretty pleasant. Of course you%26#039;ll be nervous, who isn%26#039;t? They will put the mask over your nose and mouth and tell you to breath deeply. Then you%26#039;ll start to feel light headed, and you%26#039;re out. Next thing you know, you%26#039;re being woken up, and wheeled to the recovery room. It%26#039;s not all that bad. Afterward...you have toms pain, that%26#039;s quite normal, but in the hospital, they give you really good stuff. Then they%26#039;ll send you home with like.. percocet, vicodan, something like that. When you get into the recovery room, do NOT be afraid to ask for pain meds, or a bed pan, or Ice chips... It%26#039;ll go good. Just try not to stress.

Ah, when i was in 5th grade i had to get my tonsils out. Trust me, the most pain you%26#039;ll feel before the surgery is the prick of the IV needle, it%26#039;s not that bad at all. Then they put the little mask thing over your mouth and nose, tell you to breathe deeply, and before you know it, you%26#039;re knocked out cold. You wake up, your throat is a little bit sore, and you feel really fatigued. It%26#039;ll be fine.

It%26#039;s not too bad the anaesthetic might smell/taste bad and you feel a little stomach sick when you wake up but they got med to fix that there%26#039;s nothing to be afarid of I%26#039;ve had surgeries more then i can remember and they all ways turn out OK just go in positive and when it%26#039;s all over you%26#039;ll be back to your old self

being put asleep is faster and easier than trying to fall asleep on your own. and when you wake up it only feels like you%26#039;ve been asleep for a few seconds, also you may have a sore throat from the breathing tube being put down your throat, but a few popsicles will fix that.

When getting put to sleep it feels litterally like you blinked your eyes and you woke up. You don%26#039;t dream or anything and it feels like the blink of an eye.
