I had this problem in May 2008; and I thought it was simply a stiff neck or from sleeping in a poor position. It actuall turned out to be flu and I was given a week off from work. There are so many strains of the flu ; and it is in the air. However, since I am not a medical person and cannot diagnose your problem, go to a doctor as soon as possible. I thought flu affected only the stomach but I was wrong.Run as fast as you can to a doctor in order to rule out flu, stiff neck and other guesses. She/.he will be able to give medication if you need it.

youve pulled a muscle in your neck take some painkillers and go easy it will loosen in a day or so. and try using less pillows or more if you use only one, its most likely whichever way you are sleeping.

Did you sleep on it funny? Try some light stretching of your neck to see if it will loosen up. Maybe take some OTC pain killers (asprin, etc) to see if that helps. Ice pack / heating pad might help too.

You%26#039;ve probably been sleeping in a funny position or in a draught (from open window). It will go in a day or two. I sleep funny regularly!! -
this happens to me a lot. you probs slept on it wrong. it always helps me if i crack my neck.
