Ouch, this hurt!! taking cast off my ankle!! ):? i broke my ankle, so i was in a cast for 4 1/2 weeks, and when they cut it off with the saw thing i got 4 cuts on my leg because of the saw. has this happened to you?? is it normal? or is it just an unprofessional doing it??

right now i%26#039;m in a brace/splint and still can walk, even though the physician told me i can.

Sounds like whoever removed your cast didn%26#039;t know what they were doing!

If you are having trouble walking, you should ask your physician for a referral to a physical therapist for stretching and strengthening exercises.

thanks (: yeahh, it wasn%26#039;t the real orthopedic person who cut my cast off it was a nurse or something. yeahh, they said if i can%26#039;t walk in 2 more weeks, i%26#039;ll go into physical therapy.

• ummmm i have had lots of casts because I%26#039;m accident prone and it is impossible to get cut by the saw because the saw is only dull enough to cut through the cast material. you may feel a lot of heat on your skin, but not any breaking of your skin.
