Fingernail injury?

Fingernail injury? My 2 year old daughter got her finger trapped in the door 2 weeks ago, the nail was a little discoloured after and has been looking like it would fall off. Today half of it has come off and its a little sore and bleeding a little, should i cover it with a plaster so that she doesnt catch it on anything or get dirt on it?

i think it will probably all come off , put a plaster on but not tightly

thanks, i did this until it stopped bleeding, i think i will just put one on her finger when she is playing and let it air for the rest of the time

  • Cover it yes perhaps with gauze so that it dosnt get damp, Plasters might make it a bit sweaty.
  • Rather use a finger cut off a glove and tape it around the base.
