My shoe bends and hurts my toe because it isn%26#039;t hinging correctly!? On one of my new tennis shoes, when I bend it, the top of the shoe digs into the big toe tendon. It hasn%26#039;t worn in and I don%26#039;t think it will. I%26#039;ve been taping cardboard to the top of my toe to ease the pressure but this it ridiculous. Can%26#039;t return them anymore :(

You might try gluing some foam to the inside of your shoe. You can test the effectiveness without glue (just put the foam in the spot) first, before going to the bother of gluing.
Foam and upholstery stores should have a variety of scraps you can choose from. Try both softer and denser foams.
