Hydrocodone %26amp; Tramadol Problems!? I%26#039;ve been taking these two meds for a long time--consistently for about a year and a half. I%26#039;ve noticed that I have such a high tolerance and if I don%26#039;t take the meds, I get very sick--like withdrawl symptoms. I don%26#039;t want to be on these meds anymore because I feel like the run my life. How do I get off them without rehab? Is it possible?

When you do kick you should be proud of yourself. You understood the problem that was happening and took action to correct it. A lot of people just give in and keep taking more and more until they have to go through withdarawls or get in trouble for doctor shopping. It really doesn%26#039;t have to be that bad for you. You will have a bigger problem trying to control the pain. Good luck

Yes it is possible but it is going to be hard. Do you have enough to start tapering off a little bit each day? You will need to talk to your doctor about wanting to stop taking them because you will need something like Klonopin for a short period of time to help you sleep and to help with with the muscle spasms you are going to experience. Then you are going to need some generic Imodium because you will have diarrhea and stomach cramps. Then you are going to need something for the leg cramps and muscle cramps like ibuprofen. People say that it is better to go through rehab but sometimes it is not an option. If you don%26#039;t want to go to your doctor about the Klonopin the get something over the counter that will help you sleep like generic unisom. Don%26#039;t get anything with benadryl in it.(like Tylenol PM) You may need to take the next week off from work because sometimes it just makes you sick, I mean like you really get an upper respiratory infection. Also it is going to be hard to go through these symptoms at work. Please don%26#039;t let this discourage you. It will SOOOOO be worth it when it is over.
