could be growing or she could have missing cartilage.both parts of the knee cap are like a V on top of each other
if the cartilage has worn away it can make the knee caps bumpy and not fit into each other.
this happens just from wear and tear pretty much.
look at her when she walks and see if her knees go inward or is she swings her leg in a circle when she walks and when she squats if they pop that could mean this
