i have the same problem.by the top hole, i have like a red bump, an infection and it pusses sometimes. when i use the antibacterial dial soap, it just dries it out. ive been using hydrogen peroxide on it and it is clearing up good. two-three times a day, take your ring out, soak it in the peroxide and use a q-tip dipped in the peroxide to clean it. it will bubble and kill all the germs but it doesn%26#039;t even sting. It works better if you squeeze in between your two hole to get all the gross stuff out. Keep doing that untill it starts to bleed or you don%26#039;t have any more. Put more peroxide on it and put your rind back in.
It should clear up in a couple days.

you have to be really careful with those infections cause they are so close to where your umbilical cord used to be. I had an infection on my belly button cause of my ring when I was in high school and the nurse told me that it was really dangerous cause of the location. Make sure you keep it cleaned out and if it gets worse seek medical attention!!
