13 and sunburnt. I%26#039;ve had it since Friday, and wpuld like to know how to treat it. We only have a shower, no tub. Aloe doesn%26#039;t do anything but ease the pain a little bit. I%26#039;ve veen using some sprays, Dermoplast, something Lanacane, and something for sunburns at CVS. But it doesn%26#039;t seem to be going away. Id go to a doctor, but then I%26#039;d have to put stuff on it, and like touch it. And that would hurt more. Can anyone help me? Also, when will it start to peel and itch and not be blistery?

If you have a fever at all, you should see a doctor. Your sunburn is severe.

Keep using the aloe - it cools the area.

The skin cancer foundation recommends using a washcloth soaked in cold milk applied to the area. It creates a protien film over the area and eases the discomfort.

Take Tylenol or Ibuprofen for the pain, wear loose, cotton clothing, and most importantly, stay out of the sun while healing!

Good luck, and feel better soon.

  • If you%26#039;re really blistery, I%26#039;d go to a doctor.

I just got over a pretty bad sunburn myself. I took luke warm/cool showers, used aloe spray religiously, and found that my Mom was right, when I was younger she used to put Noxema on my sunburn to help take out the heat and it adds a cooling feeling. It saved me the last couple weeks. It took me a little over a week to get to the peely/itchy stage.

Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.
  • LOL U POOR THING U!!!!

The only thing that works for sunburn is aloe vera gel - i put mine in fridge and make it cold to apply... It helps a little, but for bad burns the only thing that will help it is time unfortunately... The peeling should start about 2-3 days after the burn, and last up to two weeks, depending on the burn scale.. If u are really really burned I hope u seen a doctor cuz u can get infection from sun blisters... Good luck, certified first aid until 11/09
  • asprin will help the most. i recently got a bad sunburn too. if you don%26#039;t treat it immediately there isn%26#039;t much to do but wait for it to heal itself. take tylenol pm before bed to help you sleep and pop as many asprin or tylenol as possible. it will help the redness go down and the pain will be more tolerable.
  • Use aloe vera-and use solarcane.
    Solarcane I would recommend more
It is a spray you put on not only for sunburns but for really bad burns.
Be careful in the sun you can really damage your skin or worse.

    Good Luck!!!
  • You%26#039;ll be fine in less than a week.
