Use something with Lidocaine in it, like Solarcaine. Use Tylenol or Motrin for pain. I have had great luck using Johnson and Johnson first aid cream. White tube with blue writing. I slathered it all over my daughter when she was really young and got burned. By the next day her skin was noticeably less red. Be sure and drink plenty of water or Gatorade. Please use sunscreen with a SPF of 15 or better.

  • My grandmother, a registered nurse for more than 30 years, used to do this for me:

    First, take Aspirin.
Then, since you don%26#039;t have a bathtub, get a bowl, put half baking soda, and half water in it. Get a soft piece of cloth, and put the baking soda and water mixture all over your skin.
After that, put vinegar all over your skin.

Be prepared both the baking soda water mixture, and the vinegar sting a little, but in the end, it does help. I live in Phoenix, and there is no way of avoiding a sunburn. Plus, I burn easily.
  • I was majorly sunburned about 2 weeks ago, but not as bad as you,
and someone told me to run a tub of water and add 1 cup vinegar to it and just lay down in it...I did and it worked...I think the vinegar must draw the fire out or something...Be careful with your blisters though..anytime you break one, just opens your skin for infection and you don%26#039;t want that. Also, I keep DermaPlast in my house all the time for my daughter%26#039;s scrapes and scratches and it numbs the place..IT IS GREAT IF YOU CAN FIND IT.
  • i would just put a cool cloth on it. someone once told me that if you put milk on a cloth it will help with the stinging. hope that helped
  • Put baking soda on it!
