Put Neosporin or Bacitracin ointment on it. Take the stitches out in about 4 days. I think you should go see a doctor, but if you aren%26#039;t going to, watch for fever and swelling (on your heel). When was your last Tetnus shot? Hopefully within the last ten years. Don%26#039;t take a bath and soak it in the water or you will get an infection for sure.Other Answers (3)

well make sure that there is no opening left when you stitch it up.
Bacteria can sneak into the damaged area and you can get a bacterial infection if you didn%26#039;t stitch it properly.
Another risk can be that the stitching can open up. It is better to leave everything up to a doctor to stitch it up for you.
For now since you are going to sleep, leave it on or put a bandage over it.
Otherwise, I%26#039;m guessing you did a good job stitching it up lol.
But you know, the best thing to do is to go to the docs and see if everyhting is good. -
take yourself to a doctor. have him check it out. keep it super clean, and try not to do too much........ I have no idea how your gonna remove the stitches when they need to come out
