Large cut on bottom of foot....? Two days ago i fell of a chair and now have a 4 inch cut on the bottom of my foot. It isn%26#039;t scabbing over and it has become very sore. I have been cleaning it twice a day, putting antibiotics on it, and wrapping it. Should i go to the doctors or should I wait a couple days to see if it gets better?

Dude!!! A 4inch cut?!!! Is it a deep cut? Do you mean 4 inches deep, or 4 inches wide? Even so, you may need stitches!!! Cleaning it with antibiotics will only leave a NASTY SCAR in the end!!! What are you thinking?

But now that you have waited this long, a doctor will not be able to stitch it up anymore because the wound is not fresh. So, sorry to burst your bubble there, but you will indeed be left with a nasty scar.

However, with that being said, keep cleaning it, and WATCH closely for infection, and for any signs of inflammation, swelling or pussing over. If that happens, you have an infection, GET YOURSELF TO THE DOCTOR, and forget about home remedies!!!
Go to the doctor. Tell him ALL of the details.
Go to the Dr ohmigod!
