How long will it take for my burn blister to heal? My friend and I were making a rocket w/ isopropyl and a bottle. *you just put a small bit of isopropyl in the bottle and spash it around. you put a hole in the cap and when ready, put a flame next to the hole in the cap*. Well the hole in the cap was too small , so while my friend was making it bigger, I tried to just light the rocket without the cap on. Bad Idea. I know have a HUGE blister on my finger. The pain was excruciating the night of the burn but has greatly lessoned over the past day or so. I%26#039;m not going to pop the blister. I just wanted to know how long it usually takes a second degree burn blister to heal.

The larger the blister, the longer the healing time. I don%26#039;t know exactly how big %26quot;huge%26quot; is...I%26#039;m guessing at least an inch long (correct me if that%26#039;s significantly off) and so I would estimate about 7-10 days. You can try soaking your finger in warm water with Epsom salts, that may decrease the size of your blister (fluid may move out through osmosis) which will then decrease the healing time as smaller blisters heal faster. 100% 1 Vote

  • if the blister is poped and the fluid inside will be gone, the healing will be faster, with the proper care and without infection setting in. 0% 0 Votes
