It gets really bad though to where I have to put a bandaid on and it sucks.

It tastes HORRIBLE!!! It works all around your nail, including the skin. It was about $20 for about a months supply----but it lasts WELL over a month(I%26#039;ve been using it for about 3 months now). It comes in this little 1/4 oz. container...it looks small...but it goes a LONG way. It is like a balm-typed cream--that you just dab on your nails. It is the only thing that has helped! My nails look amazing! After your nails start to heal, you%26#039;ll notice that the skin below your cuticle is starting to get little peels--its natural..it%26#039;s the skin repairing it self! It works so well. Sounds like a nervous habit- like tugging on split ends of hair or cracking knuckles. Not a good effect with either, you just have to remind yourself of that in action. Try to pay more attention. Put up notes, reminding yourself not to bite your nails. Get physically active when you find yourself bored- because that%26#039;s typically when these nervous habits occur. Go for a power walk, play sports, ride a bike. Do something physical to capture your attention.

dip your fingers in vinager every time you wash you hands that will stop you! but if you cant stand the smell of it they make nail polish that tast bad so just put that on your nails.
i know its hard to break a habit you just have to really be dedicated. i chew my skin when im bored, if you do too keep yourself entertained! 0% 0 Votes -
You think of to many things at one time. Relax, quit worrying about something, thinking about what somebody is saying. Try suckers or carry mints with you, chew bubble gum and blow bubbles, chew on a licorice stick, anything to keep your fingers away from your mouth. When you are sitting or standing and talking or listening, clasp your hands together. Hope some of these help you young lady.

ugh I do that too, only thing that seems to work is putting nail varnish on it but I chew it off too %26gt;.%26lt; other things that have help were wearing mini-mitts, touching my dog%26#039;s kibble (I%26#039;m a vegetarian and the smell repulses me), or hotsauce. Good luck to you :)

Ive had that same bad habit since i was 5 years old. Try Garlic (putting garlic on my finger nails, so when i had the urge to bite them, they were NASTY) it worked, but was disgusting. Hope this helps.
