No, it does not mean you have an infection. Any time the skin is broken, there can be some drainage. The clear liquid you are seeing is called serous fluid. It is the fluid surrounding the skin cells that is leaking out. It is totally normal. Here are some things to look for if the spider bite is getting infected:The skin around the bite might get red and warm to the touch. Often, it is very tender. If it is an infection that is getting worse, the red area will get larger. Make sure the skin is kept clean and cover it with a bandage to protect it until it is healed. If the stuff is yellow its infected. put some antibiotic ointment on it, keep it clean and dry. If you haven%26#039;t already, wash it with soap and water. I hear rubbing crushed aspirin works for bee stings....try it and see what happens.

A spider bite needs oxygen immediately or the tissue will die and get infected. Put peroxide on it if the tissue is OK. If not the doctor has to cut away the bad flesh .
