It%26#039;s okay. Some isopropyl alcohol is 70%, but it%26#039;s also available at 91%. You%26#039;ll be okay, and yes, it is the same as rubbing alcohol. 100% 1 Vote

  • There is a product called %26quot;swimmer%26#039;s ear%26quot;. It works GREAT. If that doesn%26#039;t get the water out, then you might need to see a doctor to have it drained. If you leave pool water in your ear too long, you risk infection from the chemicals in the pool water, and possible inner ear damage. Not only will water in the ear throw off your balance, but it%26#039;s just not a good thing. I would NEVER recommend peroxide OR alcohol to go directly into your ear. You have a thin membrane there between your ear canal and your sinuses. Would you snort rubbing alcohol? I think not. Anyway, please just purchase %26quot;Swimmer%26#039;s Ear%26quot;. It can be found at any local drug store or Walmart/Kmart and sometimes grocery stores carry it during swimming season. Make sure you follow the directions. You don%26#039;t want to leave that stuff in there too long either. Tip your head, put in a few drops, and you will hear it popping through the water barrier, and then tip your head the other way, and you should feel the warmth of the water coming out. Have a nice day, and please, if this doesn%26#039;t help, seek medical advice from a professional. I%26#039;m just a Mom who has had lots of experience. :) Personal experience 0% 0 Votes
  • 91% , and 70% are both alcohol, 91% is just a more concentrated alcohol. It is best never putting anything in your ears that is not labeled for your ear.
I bet you have a walmart there where you live.
In the pharmacy you will find a bottle labeled for swimmer ear solution. It costs under 5 bucks. It you cannot find it, the pharmacist will help you find it. I hope your swimmers ear goes away soon common sense 0% 0 Votes
  • when u say swimmers ear do u mean ear ach? if so the best thing for it is hydrogen paroxide let it sit there for a few minutes (it may hurt but its cleaning it, it may even tickle lol) then get a towel and lean ur ear in the towel and let it drain after doing that take a que tip and clean it out then take a hot (wet) cloth and lay ur ear on it for about an hour if the pain still persists take a hot...hot shower make sure the water is constanly flowing over ur head but dont point the water straight in the infected ear. do this for like an hour as well the shower is ur best bet tho i use this method most. if ur ear is just clogged the paroxide will aslo help clean that out as well u may need to do it a couple times tho.... dont worry about dizziness when doing this its only from tilting ur head and the sound of the fizzing playing tricks on ur mind its all normal my old doctor he specialized in home remedies 0% 0 Votes
  • Isopropyl alcohol, is rubbing alcohol, two names for the same product.

I wouldn%26#039;t recommend putting it in your ear canal but, I doubt you made the situation much (if any) worse.

It%26#039;s probably best to have a doctor check it out, if at all possible. 0% 0 Votes
  • Don%26#039;t ever put ispropyl alcohol in your ear! Go to the drug store and get a bottle of oil for the ear. It will probably be labled for ear wax removal, but that is what you need to use. 0% 0 Votes
