I steped on a razor while taking a shower?

I steped on a razor while taking a shower? and i got a huge cut on the bottom of my foot and it wont stop bleeding i went through 2 bandages filled with blood and its only been like ten minutes. i already put alcohol on it i won%26#039;t get tetnis[spelling] right? is there anything else i can do to get rid off the bacteria? to make it stop bleeding?

oh and the razor was semi rusty

Okay I bet you thought you would never hear about another person doing what you did, but I%26#039;m ashamed to say that I%26#039;ve done that (haha). My immediate reaction was to pull it out of my big toe and it bled like crazy. If you pull back the flap and see yellow then you need to go to the ER and get stitches. Have someone else clean it with antibacterial soap (diluted in a bowl of water of coarse) then wrap it with gauze. Do not get the gauze wet...the next day you may have to plastic wrap it to waterproof it. Mom%26#039;s a nurse

• an emergency room visit is best at this point.
  
  you%26#039;ve soaked through too many banadages and 10 mins of uncontrolled bleeding is too long.
  
  have someone drive you to the emergency room or call an ambulance to take you (don%26#039;t drive yourself-too much blood loss can cause you to pass out).
  
  the semi rust on the razor blade also puts you at great risk for infection-you%26#039;ll need a tetanus shot along w/antibiotics to help ward off infection
  
  go in and get some stitches along w/your antibiotics i work in trauma icu
• I would put a heavy dose of neosporin on it and cover with a thick gauze. Then ELEVATE it to try to get the blood flow to slow down some so it can clot. Good luck
• You should probably go to the emergency room. They should give you a tetnus (hmm, don%26#039;t know how that%26#039;s spelled) shot since it was rusty.
• pour more alchol on it . i use tons of it for the smallest cut
