Did you burn your tongue or eat/drink something you were allergic to? 100% 1 Vote

  • The best I can come up with is that you have some sort of chemical burn. Acids will interact with the water that is residual within lip (flesh) and tongue (muscle) tissue and leave burns. Drinks, which obviously contain water, may increase the effects. Food may agitate the area.

If you%26#039;ve come in contact with acidic or oxidizing materials, you may want to call poison control and ask for the best method of neutralizing the toxicity / acidity of the material. (Alternative to calling poison control is to look up the material on an MSDS).

If you can%26#039;t recall burning yourself with a chemical (or otherwise), then spicy food or something less severe may be to blame.

The description of your symptoms doesn%26#039;t seem to be cause for too much alarm, but it is abnormal. If it persists, see a doctor. 0% 0 Votes
  • If you burnt it, it will do that. Do you remember burning it? Or maybe you got some king of household cleaner on your hands and touched your mouth. That would do it too. 0% 0 Votes
  • too much candy. 0% 0 Votes
