Alcohol mixture for ears for after swimming?

Alcohol mixture for ears for after swimming? When i was little i went to summer camp, and after we got done swimming, they would put this mixture in our ears so that we did not get ear infections....i know it had rubbing alcohol in it but it was mixed with other things too?? I got a pool for my kids and want to put something in their ears when we get done swimming to save my self from a summer of ear aches....any clue what was in that mix or know of anything else to use??

A combo of vinegar (acetoacetate) and rubbing alcohol..1:1 mixture.. commercially sold as %26#039;burrows%26#039;solution....Make it yourself.

  Wax ear plugs will keep dirt/water out and will keep the childs ears safe and clean.
