Everyone says they have 10 fingers... if you don%26#039;t count the thumbs there will be 8.
The only reason people say that it isn%26#039;t is probably because it is the most different finger, because it sort of point(when it bends) to a different direction, and without it it will be hard to grab. 100% 1 Vote

It%26#039;s a matter of semantics. The thumb is one of five digits on the hand. But because it is so important for hand function, we distinguish it from the other digits. By some conventions, we don%26#039;t identify it as a %26quot;finger%26quot; because it is physically seperated and is opposable to all the other fingers. I say that it is a finger. But a lot of people use that obnoxious %26quot;How many fingers do i have?%26quot; thing, then they rub it in your facae that they tricked you because your thumb and your pinky aren%26#039;t fingers. I think it%26#039;s a finger. 0% 0 Votes
