What kind of spider bite is this?

What kind of spider bite is this? I woke up this morning with a small bite on my thigh, and I don%26#039;t recall feeling anything bite me during the night... I didn%26#039;t find a spider or anything, but the bite looks red, swollen, tight, and sensitive to anything touching it. And whenever anything does touch it, it hurts and burns really bad. Almost like a bee sting.
The redness is about 1/2 an inch all the way around the bite area. I can%26#039;t see any fang/bite marks, which I thought would be the first thing I%26#039;d notice. We have found brown-recluses in our basement (which is where I was sleeping), and I%26#039;m worried it possibly could have been one of them. Although, I looked up brown recluse spider bites and the bite I have doesn%26#039;t resembe any of them of which I saw...So this leads back to the moral of this question. Does anyone know what kind of bite this could be? Or if anyone has had a spider bite similar.
Any help would be nice, thank you.

NightLurker,
You need to get your facts straight before you go making an idiot of yourself. Why would I make up a question like this? That%26#039;s just stupid on your part to act like such a jerk when I am asking a SIMPLE question. There were NO serious symptoms that I listed that would cause me to need to go to the hospital...And if I were having bad symptoms, I WOULD seek medical advice. A bite that seemed very non-life threatening, and felt like a bee sting isn%26#039;t anything to freak out over. You were making it sound like I was asking a stupid question like:
%26quot;OMG I just fell down the stairs and hit my head, I%26#039;m really dizzy and feel like I%26#039;m gonna die...WHAT DO I DO???%26quot;
I could understand you calling me stupid if I asked something retarded like that, but you need to look at the actual situation before you act like a jerk.

And no, it%26#039;s not a boil. I%26#039;ve never had boils in my entire life and I%26#039;m not a dirty slob like you%26#039;re insinuating, %26#039;algaemaster%26#039;.

Oh, my I guess we have alittle bit of everything going on in here today. Its gotta be the moon lately. Everyone is acting strange. What you could do is keep a warm compress on it and as it swells and gets hard, sanitize the needle and pop it while squezing the clear pus out. Afterwards put something like neosporne on it with a bandage till it stops ozzing. It%26#039;ll be fine. Or take the advide of these lovely know it alls. They%26#039;re all great idesa.lol...catch yah later, good luck be there, done that!

I got some neosporin and put some on it, and it seemed to clear it up quite a bit. Some fang marks did show up, but it looks to be clearing up now...So that%26#039;s good.
Thank you!

  • Didn%26#039;t feel anything? No fang marks? Probably not a bite. Probably a boil. Wash your dirty butt more often and stop falsely accusing that poor maligned little spider. The Brown Recluse really needs an attourney to represent it for slander.
  • Just to be on the safe side go see a Dr. before you even mentioned %26quot;Brown Recluse%26quot; it was the first thing I thought you probably were bitten by.

    I wouldn%26#039;t play with that because if it was a brown recluse you could be having serious symptoms.
  • it still could be a recluse.. it also depends on where you live..meaning what part of the us or beyond.. could be a widow.. but i doubt it.. look in the corners especially where its dark.. if you see a widow.. theres your answer ...but im betting on a recluse. see the doc too...sometimes we think its a spiderbite but its something else.
  • Brown recluses are poisonessssss (hissss) i have some in lawn mower but when i start it they grind up but you shpuld see a doctor they tear the flesh and eat it
  • You%26#039;re f***ed.
  • you need to go to the hospital or you will DIE!
  • its either that or just a regular spider i get bitten a lot so just put medisin on it
