How do I get this sliver out of my thumb? So i had a giant sliver in my thumb yesterday and i pulled it out. However, a part of it must have stayed in my thumb. I%26#039;ve tried to get it out but it won%26#039;t come out. Please tell me how to get the rest of it out. Thanks.

Go to the drugstore and buy some Drawing Sauve. It looks a little bit like axle grease so be sure and wear a bandage over it so it won%26#039;t stain your clothes, etc.

This usually takes two or three days to work and, since it also draws out infections, the wound will get very %26quot;pussie%26quot; and runny. Don%26#039;t worry, this is very normal.

In a couple of days, the sliver will start to work its way out and the wound will actually heal itself behind the sliver.
