I hate splinters!?

I hate splinters!? I%26#039;ve had one stuck in my finger for about a day now, I%26#039;ve tried picking and picking at it, but to no avail =P Pain free (or nearly) way to remove it? Please? =D

Picking at a wound with a needle, with alcohol on it doesn%26#039;t sound even minutely pain free...maybe I%26#039;ll just wait for it to fall out =P Thanks though.

Wait for it to fall out on its own. If it doesn%26#039;t and gets infected, see a doctor!

If you pick at it, it%26#039;ll only make it worse. Just give it time.

Seems the most pain free to me. I think picking at it with a foreign object would actually increase the chances of it getting infected. Thanks ^_^

• If you keep working on it, trying to get it out, then eventually it should come out, but that does depend on how big the splinter is and how much its sticking out.
  Some are near-impossible to get out by painless means :)
• Hold a damp, hot cloth on it, this should bring the splinter to the surface then you might be able to get it with a clean needle. Not painless but less sore than digging and picking!
• Free up (pick at) one end with a sewing needle, then pull it out with fingernails or tweezers.
  -That%26#039;s how my mom does it.
  
  Might want to clean the needle %26amp; tweezers with rubbing alcohol or something 1st.
