Well, I%26#039;m not like a genius onphobias...but like, I dunno.
They really aren%26#039;t that bad,
and a blood test wouldn%26#039;t
take but about two seconds.
Just breathe and relax.
It%26#039;s important to be
relaxed! (: Some people
just cant face their fears...
and that%26#039;s fine! Don%26#039;t be
embarassed if you start
to cry or something, I%26#039;m
pretty sure there are people
there who have worse phobias!
Bring a friend with you,
friends are always comforting. (:
or maybe a family member?
and remember to breathe!
it%26#039;s only for a couple of
seconds. (:

You and me are exactly alike....I almost faint whenever I have to give blood...I don%26#039;t even look at the needle and I%26#039;m sick. Now I always have to make sure that someone comes with me when I give blood because I can%26#039;t drive home afterwards...and I%26#039;m 38 yrs. old...isn%26#039;t that pathetic?? haha
I have to give blood soon too...I keep putting it off but I should just do it one day after work...just go straight there and get it over with so that I can%26#039;t talk myself out of it anymore, like I did last Saturday...I woke up late and then I figured I would just stay in bed a little longer....wound up being 2 hours and by then the place closed! I feel your pain! Good Luck to you! -
Well i hate needles as well and the way you can get over it is listening to your MP4 PLAYER OR MP3 PLAYER or whatever or i no this sounds stupid but get some1 like sister , mum or boyfriend to hold your hand and squeeze there hand really hard it works =)
hope i help you xx and good luck xx -
I have that same fear! Funny. But I had to get an allergy test once when I was little and they needed to draw blood. I held my Mom and Dad%26#039;s hand. I also shut my eyes real tight and clenched my jaw tight. Before I knew it, the whole thing was over, they got what they needed, and I got to leave!

I would tell you, but i am the absolute same way. I can%26#039;t even watch someone get a shot. I start to cry like a baby, shake and hyperventilate. My bf was at the hospital once when i had to give blood and he couldn%26#039;t believe how bad i was with needles lol.

Don%26#039;t look at what the nurse is doing. Don%26#039;t look at the needle. Just turn your head and keep talking. I found it better if I didn%26#039;t know it was coming. When you see it you tense up, and imagine that it hurts worse than it does. Just don%26#039;t look.

When you go in, close your eyes and bring a towel to bite when it touches you. You may be tempted to look, but bring another towel to blindfold yourself.

everybody hates needles and my advice is that you should have something to bite on like a washcloth or something fluffy. :)

well first off close ur eyes when they put the needle in u.
second generally hospital needles are so small they don%26#039;t even hurt at all. u may feel a little pressure but that%26#039;s it. -
Just don%26#039;t look when they are in the process of doing it. You won%26#039;t feel a thing. I never do.

i always take a deep breath when they put it in and hold it till they take it out than i exhale works for me
