by a wasp
there was a nest and we didnt even see it; my dad and i were working on tiles in the backyard. i got stung on my right arm. is it supposed to burn for awhile? it still does, [this happened about an hour ago]
what can i do to treat it?
do they stingers stay in you or something?

Yeah, it%26#039;ll burn for a while. Wasp stingers don%26#039;t come off, they actually inject venom into you. You%26#039;ll be fine, if you were allergic you%26#039;d probably be dead by now.Other Answers (2)

If you have a live aloe vera plant, tear apart one of the leaves and place it gooey-side down on the sting. Leave it there for about 15 minutes. You can also take a Benadryl to keep it from swelling. You can use ice to cool it.
Unless you see a stinger, it%26#039;s probably gone by now. The poison is what makes it hurt. The aloe plant should draw any stinger out along with any poison that got in there. You can also use a paste made out of baking soda and water, or even peanut butter.
If you get shortness of breath or hives, you should call a doctor. But I%26#039;m very allergic to them and I%26#039;ve never needed to go to a doctor if I follow the steps above.
