Yes, dont put ice on it because it will %26quot;trap the heat%26quot;
Anything that is cold, but not constant to allow the heat to escape would be the best remedy.
Try putting it under the sink for 5 minutes.
Burn creams and ointments assist the healing process and some may contain anesthetics to numb the pain, but if you dont have any i%26#039;d say just leave it under water. We get minor burns all the time at the workplace -
Soak in in a bowl of cold water for about 15 minutes. Put some aloe vera gel on it (the best is if you have a plant, break a piece off and use the gel that comes out) then wrap in in a breathable cover like gauze. There is also some burn cream you can get from the doctor that contains silver, it is called silver sulfadiazine cream that works great.

1 i like is grab a can of pop from the fridge and hold that
nothing will cure it except time but that will help...i just had a burn from a dirtbike exhaust that melted my skin from the figertip to the second knuckle and the pop really helped -
put the inside of a banana peel on the burn. it has natural enzymes in the peel to make it heel faster and take the pain away.
