Nervous about using defibrillator at TAFE? As part of my TAFE course I need to demonstrate the use of a defibrillator on a dummy. This assessment is coming up this Thursday. Does anyone know if the defibrillators they get you to use in first aid at TAFE are fake, or do they actually deliver electric shocks?

yeah the defib probably is real , but only if they are using the proper resus dummy,

if not proper dummy - its either not delivering shocks or someone is really stupid.

Some defibs come with a training module, where you run through the process but no shocks delivered.

There are a few possiblities
They do not deliver a real shock and they are super easy to use. They guide you verbally through the process so it%26#039;s a no brainer.
