Try this;Step1. Cover yourself completely. Wear an old shirt with long sleeves and old pants. Tuck your pants into a pair of old socks and put on boots. Cover your hands with a pair of thick rubber gloves. Tuck the sleeves of your shirt into gloves. Your wrists should not be exposed.
Step2. Protect your eyes with a pair of goggles and wear a breathing mask. A person can acquire poison ivy through inhalation.
Step3. Check weather conditions and select a day when there is no rain or wind.
Step4. Use a pair of shears to cut the poison ivy plant at its base. Be careful not to break the stem of the plant as this will release the harmful oil into the air. Place the cut poison ivy into a plastic garbage bag.
Step5. Dig out the root of the poison ivy using a shovel. Spray remaining roots with an herbicide.
Step6. Finish by rinsing all tools and then cleaning with alcohol. Clean clothes outside using a hose and soap. Clean boots with soapy water. 100% 2 Votes

If you mean that you caught it and have the rash, then there are a few things.
Drying out the blisters is the goal to getting rid of the stuff. My father believed in Old fashioned %26quot;brown Soap%26quot; lye soap. Stores carry a brand called Fels Naphtha. It is a strong, very strong soap. Removes stains from clothes etc.
Anyway, washing with this will dry it up. Now depending on the location of the poison Ivy, the other option is a trip to the ER and a shot of decadron and Benedryl. It will knock you out for a day or 2, but takes care of it pronto. My brothers were landscapers and got it on their %26quot;private parts%26quot; and in their eyes. That%26#039;s when the injections and medical intervention became necessary.
I%26#039;ve Even heard of folks using a strong bleach solution (bleach mixed with some water) poured over their arms a few times. Dries it out well. But it burns like hell. Good luck.
******Im not sure about the cost of the shots. Check with a clinic, or your family doctor. They might have these type of shots in thier office.****** personel experience 0% 0 Votes -
I need stay away from poision ivy cos I am allergic to it. DO NOT SCRACH IT THAT MAKES IT SPREAD MORE . with a clean wash cloth everyday
Keep it clean with soap and water and pat it dry with a clean towel. Then put a first aid lotion on it for poision ivy like 3x a day .
I kinda remembering the name calamine lotion for poision ivy. you want a lotion that will help dry the spots up .
if they look like boils that means the poision ivy is infected.
At this point you can call aDoctor and see what he says to do next .
BUT WHAT EVER YOU DO , DO NOT SCRATCH THAT SPREADS IT.
HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON
you can also watch tv in a chair or bed and put hot soapy wash rags on your arms or legs or where you have p i spots. it helps.
To prevent poision ivy wear long pants like jeans in and around weeds and trees and wash up as soon as you get inside from around yardwork and trees.IT HELPS EXPERENCE WITH POISION IVY AND INFECTED POISION IVY WHEN YOUNGER. 0% 0 Votes -
