any burn is best treated with cold water. run it under the tap or if it%26#039;s on your back, run the shower cool - but not cold. don%26#039;t put any lotions or potions on it - the heat needs to come out, not be trapped in. As for a quick fix, I%26#039;m afraid there isn%26#039;t one, sorry.

  • For some reason, some people use butter... Do NOT use butter as it makes it worse. Instead, follow the following steps:

    (NOTE: The following may cause pain and/or irritation, but, it will be better in the long run, once the burn clears up. If needed, you could take an acetaminophen pill, or a nonsterodial anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), such as Advil™, to minimize or neutralize the pain).

    * Take a cool bath or shower. Adding 1/2 cup (about 120 milliliters) of cornstarch, oatmeal or baking soda to your bath water may provide some relief.
    * Apply an aloe vera lotion several times a day.
    * Leave blisters intact to speed healing and avoid infection. If they burst on their own, apply an antibacterial ointment on the open areas.
    * If needed, take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Aleve) or acetaminophen (Tylenol, others). Don%26#039;t give children or teenagers aspirin. It may cause Reye%26#039;s syndrome, a rare but potentially fatal disease.

    Do not use petroleum jelly, butter or other home remedies on your sunburn. They can prevent or delay healing.

    If your sunburn begins to blister or if you experience immediate complications, such as rash, itching or fever, see your doctor.

    Hope this helps.
    Get well soon.

  • Does you have a healthy aloe plant growing in your house? It%26#039;s a plant with large leaves bearing small spines along both sides. If you break off a leaf, you can split it open and rub the plant%26#039;s goo on your skin. This will both soothe the burn and moisturize your skin so it heals faster. It sounds crazy, but it%26#039;s a wonderful natural remedy that won%26#039;t put anything nasty on your skin. Aside from that, just drink a lot of water and apply fresh aloe a few times a day. Hope this helps! I got burned today, too... I feel your pain. %26gt;.%26lt;
  • Take Ibuprofen. It will keep your temp down and help you feel a little better. Also, Aloe Vera Gel will help with the discomfort. Other than that, drink plenty of fluids and let it run its course.
  • put sun tan lotion on it.. it helps a lot Personal Experience
