cartilage piercings (when done correctly) will not heal/close after 1 yr according to the lady who has done all 4 of minesounds like it might have been pierced at an angle
I had one done (not by the same lady) and it didn%26#039;t heal %26amp; became infected...found out it was not pierced correctly and was done at an angle instead of straight through. I had to wait 1 yr, then went and had it re-done

I recently, out of curiosity, tried to put an earring in my cartilage piercing that I took out about a year ago. The earring went in perfectly. I would leave it out for a little bit longer. You definitely want that to heal up. ;)
