Sunburn question? i went to the beach on sunday and i am now sunburned on my legs, face, and chest. Is there any way to get rid of the redness on my face? I tried aloe but it only makes it feel better for a little bit.

Your skin just has to heal. Moisture will cool the burning sensation and improve the look of the pealing skin, but nothing but time heals. You can try foundation to minimize the redness.

  • Keep applying the aloe. When you wash your face, don%26#039;t rub or scrub it. Once the pain from the sunburn becomes managable, use a moisturizer to help prevent peeling.

Avoid anything with an oil base, especially mineral oil. Mineral oil is common in many lotions because it is so cheap, but it is very bad for your body.
  • What you have is a first degree burn injury. It is a burn, the same as if you stood too near a hot flame. There is not cure but to let the skin heal.

Make up may hide the redness, but only time will make it go away.
  • there is a blue aloe and it is made for sunburns and makes it go away asap! all i know is that it%26#039;s blue not green or clear
