Ice as soon after the injury as possible. Avoid heat for the first 48 hours as that can make the bruise worse.Other than ice and maybe an anti-inflammatory, there%26#039;s not all that much you can do. You just have to wait for your body to break down and reabsorb the pooled blood. Arnica might help speed up the process, but basically it%26#039;s up to your body. 100% 1 Vote

Hi Regina
In short and In plain English :D
A bruise is bleeding under the skin (internal bleeding)
The best way to get rid of it fast (best of all its free) if just ICE
Basically the ICE helps control bleeding, also narrows the areas that are bleeding, helping the body repair itself if you like, and also helps draw the blood back...reducing the bruise
Hope it helps! Medical Staff 0% 0 Votes -
Bruises are broken capillaries and or blood vessels. The blood leaves a tint / color. This takes time to be reabsorbed by the cells. Rest , really your body repairs faster while you sleep. Eat a healthy diet. Your body needs proteins and minerals to function in its healing. Thats about it.
